Blackview Hero 10 could be the world's most affordable foldable phone

Want a foldable phone, but the prices scare you? Well, the good news is some companies want to cater to you. An example is the nubia Flip 5G launched earlier this month, which costs only RM2499. But soon, there will be an even more affordable foldable phone available.

According to GSMArena, the Blackview Hero 10 could be an even more affordable foldable phone. The phone is expected to launch in May 2024 for 399 euros (~RM2034). If it comes to Malaysia, we could realistically see a sub-RM2000 price tag. Regardless, this would make it notably cheaper than the nubia Flip 5G.

Like the nubia foldable, the Blackview Hero 10 is a clamshell-type foldable device. It will come with a 6.9-inch AMOLED display with 1080x2560 resolution but only a 60Hz refresh rate. This is one of many measures taken to keep the cost of the phone down. It also has a 108MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP front camera. As you can see, the cameras aren't all that impressive in 2024.

Under the hood, the Blackview Hero 10 is powered by a Helio G99 chipset, which offers only 4G support. The phone also has 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and 45W fast charging. The battery capacity hasn't been confirmed, but it might not be that big. In terms of dimensions, you're looking at a nice, portable phone with 8.8mm thickness and 198g of weight.

Mind you, there's no confirmation this phone will launch in Malaysia. After all, the smartphone market here is already saturated, so new brands might not want to come in. But what do you think, would you get one if it's available here? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
