It's been almost a year since the ROG Ally was introduced and just today, ASUS ROG just confirmed that "The Next ROG Ally" will be announced soon. A YouTube video is already scheduled online and will go live tomorrow (10 May) at 3 AM in Malaysia's timezone.

There isn't much information about the "ROG Ally 2". According to rumours, it is allegedly believed that it won't be a new successor, but rather a revamped ROG Ally to be shown at Computex 2024 in June 2024. This ROG Ally mode could still equip the same AMD Ryzen Z1 series processor, a bigger battery and the microSD card reader defect patched up.

The ROG Ally reception was a mixed bag and one of the biggest weaknesses is the battery longevity. The Windows 11 OS is also not optimised as well as a handheld gaming device, creating many problems with most gaming platforms except for Steam. While we weren't so kind of the ROG Ally in our review, the gaming device had received several quality-of-life improvements over the months.

To recap, the ROG Ally Z1 Extreme model is RM3299 while the Z1 model is RM2799. Whatever this next ROG Ally is, we hope it will be a much better-improved gaming device which can deliver the "funs" and value. Stay tuned to our official news coverage tomorrow only at TechNave.com.
