The upcoming Xiaomi 15 series has been touted as being the first smartphone series to feature the next-gen Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. This is according to reliable tipster Yogesh Brar who claimed that Xiaomi has an agreement with Qualcomm for the latter's next flagship.
Taking to X, Yogesh revealed that the Chinese tech giant is still the exclusive first launch rights holder for the latest and greatest mobile chipset from Qualcomm. For reference, the Xiaomi 14 lineup was also the first smartphone series to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line mobile processor.
Yogesh added that after Xiaomi, OnePlus and iQOO will have the rights to launch the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Accordingly, the processor might be powering the OnePlus 13 and iQOO 13 respectively.
Of course, do take this with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed yet. Well, we just have to wait for announcements from both Qualcomm and Xiaomi to find out, so until then, stay tuned to TechNave for more trending tech news.
